Explore all the ways you can become a champion of indigenous languages
Are you interested in contributing your time to the cause? Being a language activist is a serious commitment - especially if you decide to learn and teach an indigenous language. But it’s worth it. Take the time to learn the language and pass your knowledge on by raising your children in their native language, teaching a course or volunteering at a TLC program or school in your community.
In addition, you can also work to raise awareness of endangered language by petitioning, creating or attending awareness events or writing to your Congress person. You can also: give your time as a volunteer for TLC; become a fundraiser; work with new technologies to expand TLC's presence in the media and on the internet or lend a hand in our home office in Bloomington, Indiana.
